The four Mr Boom chuildren's albums are all really 'Singalong' albums, although the themes of Dance, Play and being "Over the Moon" are introduced. The general feedback on them all is that they are as palatable to parents as they are to children who will naturally want to play any tape over and over.
Anne Johnston, a mother of three young children, writing in the Glasgow Herald stated "no car journey of any length can be undertaken without them" She also wrote "His songs work not just because of their gentle humour, strong rhythms and clever lyrics, but also because they echo with an uncanny accuracy the child's world with all it's hopes fears and visions...delightful foot-tapping blends of education and entertainment - learning at it's most enjoyable."
